Nuclear Flub

In the rear-view mirror of the Gestalt theory of wartime rationalization, the Cheney Administration hastily agreed with wingnut bloggers to post on the internet documents seized during the invasion of Iraq. Somewhere in there, they surmised, must be the reason why we invaded Iraq. They felt confident someone with the 101 fighting keyboards, armed to the teeth with cheetos and mello yellow, would find the proof that Osama and Hussein were mutual fans of Judy Garland.

But buried within the pile of docs were the directions on how to build a nuclear bomb. Wups. According to The New York Times:
But in recent weeks, the site has posted some documents that weapons experts say are a danger themselves: detailed accounts of Iraq’s secret nuclear research before the 1991 Persian Gulf war. The documents, the experts say, constitute a basic guide to building an atom bomb.

Swell. Bush and his Republican chairmen of the House and Senate Intelligence (and I use that word vuuury loosely) committees handed over the instruction manual on how to build a nuclear bomb to the entire world, because they hate doing homework and prayed somewhere in the pile of unread captured "intelligence" someone could find what we are doing in Iraq.
Lefty bloggers are hammering these idiots for selling out America. Citizen Hardin Smith is on fire. Atrios on the backgrounder, as is Sadly, No! and Attytood wonders out loud.
Before I hear a bunch of whining on "
civil discourse", which a dog whistle phrase for Republicans which means, "yeah, we screwed up, but can't we all just sing kumbayaa?" I need to point out this little story:

A bird flying south for the winter left too late, and his wings froze up. He crash-landed in a barnyard, landing right behind a cow in the process of a bowel movement. The bird, quickly thawing out in the warm cow shit, soon began chirping. The barnyard cat, hearing this, quickly uncovered the bird and devoured it.

There are three morals to this story

Not all those that shit on you are your enemy.

Not all those that remove the shit are your friend.

If you are warm and happy in a pile of shit, you better keep your mouth shut.

its funny how people see things differently the bird who left to late sounds like the dems who defended to late you no the ones who always want to cut the mill budget, cut peacetime troop levels so the poor in new orleans don't need to get jobs the gov can give them some food stamps by the way the lower level troops can get food stamps too and libs will pin it all on republicans. talk about having to pay for the party, while bill was doing his natural thing with monica bin was slipping through her mouth, excuse me his hands and spilled out on her dress.

You libs and Democrats need to ask yourselves how you can claim that the information about nukes somehow wasn’t dangerous in the hands of Saddam Hussein, but was dangerous posted on the Internet.

Think on that one and get back to me.
While you're at it ask yourself about the 1.8tons of "yellow cake" enriched uranium and the 500 tons of raw uranium US troops removed from... Iraq last year and tell us all again how when combined with the info in the story you reference, Saddam was no threat to anyone.
You people will believe anything...but the truth.

It's a riot to watch you attempt to get up on your hind legs, you must've seen the big kids on the playground do it. A true Republican authoritarian cultist. I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed man.

Everyone except the "flat earth society" knows the nuke info from Saddam was generated prior to the first Gulf War, when Ronald Dumsfeld was best buddies with Saddam, and selling him weapons for his fight against Iran.

Try to get your news from some other source besides degenerate junkies and phone sex enthusiasts.

Unless, of course, you insist on ignorance.

excuse me oilfield, but the report you refer to was from 1995 and later,
AFTER Saddam was supposed to have given it all up- he didn't.

You libs crack me up,...

Just because a guy has the complete blueprints for a nuke, 1.8 tons of "yellow cake" enriched uranium, 500 tons of uranium stockpiled, centrifuges buried and the scientists onboard to make it,the oil for food program to fund it and the self proclaimed desire to have nukes and use them, doesn't mean he was a threat to anyone.

Keep lying to yourselves while calling Bush the liar and see how that works out for ya.
